Xiaomi $1,500 CyberDog Robot Companion Could Replace Man’s Best Friend

CyberDog robot unveiled last year by Chinese tech giant Xiaomi is making waves and could end up replacing man’s best friend. Though highly unlikely that this steel tech robot will replace our furry friends, it nonetheless will serve a purpose akin to a real dog. Cyberdog features “pet-like” characteristics including the ability to respond to voice commands and follow its master like a real dog. The robot dog is agile and flexible like a real dog and able to execute backflips according to the Xiaomi. It can carry a maximum payload of 3kg, trot around at 3.2m/s and is expected to serve in security, surveillance and other civilian and military applications.
