For a mere $140,000 you can fly the revolutionary Pipistrel Alpha-Electro Electric Airplane.  Made by Slovenian aerospace company Pipistrel, the Alpha-Electro is a pilot trainer and the first electric aircraft to be certified as airworthy by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in 2018.  It’s a lightweight aircraft weighing only 811 pounds (368 kg) and powered by a 21 kWh battery pack.  On a full charge the pilot trainer can get up to 90 minutes of flying time.
