Yak is the World’s Largest Quadruped Bionic Robot Developed by The Chinese Military

According to a report by the state-run Global Times, China claims to have constructed the “world’s largest quadruped bionic robot,” a massive “mechanical yak” that can carry over 350 pounds at a stumbling 6.2 mph. The purpose is to transport equipment for soldiers stationed in outlying areas. A video shared by the People’s Daily, shows a colossal quadruped strolling down an empty road. It was also seen in the desert negotiating dusty inclines, an astounding mechanical feat that could one day be of great use in locations inaccessible to regular vehicles, and may even become a weaponized platform for the Chinese military.
