U-Boat Worx Unveils The World’s First 120-Passenger Under Water Entertainment Platform
Submersible specialist U-Boat Worx has unveiled renderings for the world’s first 120-passenger Under Water Entertainment Platform (UWEP). This radical project aims to move luxury entertainment from yachts to submarines. The UWEP can hold up to 120 passengers excluding crew members and will be able to dive to depths of up to 200 meters. Inside will feature a 150 square-meter of floor space that can be configured in a number of different arrangements from a 64-seat underwater restaurant for a deep-sea dining experience to a sub-sea gym, casino or conference room.

The submarine will be completely autonomous and will feature an abundant battery power supply that will allow it to stay submerged for up to 18 hours at full power. The amount of dives that can be done in one would be virtually unlimited which would maximize efficiency and return on investment.

While the vessel is surfaced, passengers can enjoy an 85 square-meter sundeck complete with luxury amenities that rival those a superyacht. Safety is always a top priority for submarines, and U-Boat outfitted the UWEP with Maximum Depth Protection (MDP) technology that prevents the submarine from breaching its maximum operational depth.

At present UWEP is a digital concept with renderings available online, no date has been set for its production as yet. However, with increased attention, the all-new U-Boat Worx UWEP may become the next luxury platform that surfaces in a marina near you.
