This Iconic 1974 Ferrari 365 GT4 BB is Up For Auction

Ferrari has been producing road-going sports cars for a long time and this iconic 1974 Ferrari 365 GT4 BB pioneered the future of the company’s sports models. The “BB” in the name stood for the “Berlinetta Boxer” when the vehicle premiered at the 1971 Turin Motor Show.

The GT4 BB was the first model of its kind to feature a mid-engine layout with a 12-cyliner boxer engine derived from Ferrari’s Formula One Program. The mid-mounted position of the engine gave the GT4 BB exceptional handling advantages over its front-engine counterparts.

The model up for auction is one of 58 models made for the UK market, that means it’s a right-hand drive vehicle. It has an odometer read out of only 39,139 miles which is very low for a vehicle of its age. The exterior is painted in red with black trim, while the interior fitted with tan or beige color leather seats. The vehicle is being auctioned by RM Sotheby’s and will be available for bids November 5, 2022.
