The New McLaren GTS is Not Exactly “New” But an Update to the GT

McLaren revealed that its new GTS is a “new” model that replaces the GT in the luxury automaker lineup of supercars. However, upon closer examination, of the “new” McLaren GTS we see some remarkable similarities with the GT. Let’s examine those similarities; for starters, the GTS is manufactured using the same carbon-fiber monocoque chassis that the GT is built on. Secondly, its powered by the same twin turbocharged V8 engine and lastly, it’s built with the same body panels as the GT.

With that being said, let’s examine what is new on the 2025 McLaren GTS. New updates are few and in between with the GTS bearing new gloss-black mirror housing. Window trim and exhaust-finisher trim are a new feature now standard. The lower front fascia is also redone to increase airflow through the radiators. The intakes on the rear fenders are a little larger to direct more air into the engine. The front end of the GTS is raised a little more than the GT to clear speed bumps and other road obstacles.

The new GTS has 14 hp more over the GT’s 612 hp and can achieve 0-60 mph in 3.1 seconds with a top speed of 203 mph. The conclusion is that the new 2025 GTS is nothing more than a general update of the GT with typical improvements you would see in any model year updates.
