The Jet Capsule SS is Reinventing Water Mobility

The Jet Capsule SS is a capsule shaped boat that is reinventing water mobility. With looks that mimic something you would see in an amusement park, the Jet Capsule is a pod-shaped watercraft designed to transport passengers across the water on joyrides, island hopping or within a large marina. The Jet Capsule SS is a derivative of its predecessor the Capsule CX which debuted in 2019.

The two crafts are almost identical with the Capsule SS being about 8 meters longer and with improved performance over its predecessor. The vessel features a powerboat styled hull design with a pod-shaped capsule structure that encloses the cabin allowing the vessel to operate day or night in any weather condition.

Carved into the pod-like canopy are large windows that allow occupants excellent exterior visibility while riding inside. Entrance and exit to the cabin are from a sliding door located at the rear of the boat. An extended ladder allows access to the roof where occupants can sunbathe or just simply relax.

Interior wise, a single center seat at the front of the cabin is reserved for the operator, while front facing seats on either side of the cabin can comfortably seat a maximum of 12 passengers. The entire interior space is customizable with owners having the freedom to configure it in whatever way that best suits them.

The vessel is powered by a Hamilton Jet Drive and a 640-hp engine which propels it to a top speed of 38 knots. Owners can opt for a 570 hp or 850 hp engine if they desire extra power and more speed. Additionally, the boat also features an electric docking system which allows docking without running the engines.  Pricing for the new Capsule SS has not been released but judging from the price of the original Capsule CX we estimate a price range between $150,000 – $250,000 per unit.
