The 2024 Ducati DesertX Rally is Revolutinizing the Off-Road Game

Ducati is once again changing the off-road game with the new 2024 Ducati DesertX Rally. Designed to conquer the most extreme terrain, the DesertX Rally is a tough addition to the already impresive DesertX platform. While Ducati is a new entrant into the off-road biking segment, it nonetheless is going all in with the DesertX Rally, adding new KYB pro suspension, Pirelli Scorpion tires and a powerful 110 hp engine.

From a performance perspective, the most notable feature is a fork and shock built by Kayaba. The adjustable closed-catridge fork has 250mm of travel which is 20mm more than the travel on the standard DesertX. Ducati has also improved the shocks on the DesertX Rally adding 20mm more travel for a total of 240mm. In addition to these upgrades, Ducati upgraded the wheels with a new aluminum hub, steel spokes and Takasago Excel rims.

Furthermore, Ducati added a new Ohlins steering damper directly mounted to the handlebars to further stabilize the front-end of the bike. A high mounted front fender prevents mud and debris from building up when riding off-road. The red, white and gray paint scheme commemorates Ducati’s performance at the Erzbergrodeo earlier this year. Ducati decided to keep the same 110 hp 937 cc Testastretta L-twin engine. The DesertX Rally retains the same frame and electronics package as the standard DesertX. The new Ducati DesertX Rally is ready for procurement with a starting price of $22,995.
