STRAND CRAFT V8 DAYTONA GT IS A VINTAGE-STYLE PERSONAL JET-SKI ON STEROIDS

Strand Craft, a Florida based boat manufacturer, has debuted the Strand Craft V8 Daytona GT, a sophisticated vintage design personal watercraft that looks like a jet-ski on steroids. The Daytona GT is not a jet-ski but a luxury personal watercraft in a class by itself. It features side-exit exhausts and a lightweight alloy frame with a supercharged 6.2-litre LSA V8 engine previously built for GM’s high-performance sports vehicles.

This monster watercraft measures 16.7 feet in length with a 4.3 feet beam that gives it a thin, bullet-like retro appearance. In addition to its enormous specs, it weighs approximately 1,256 lbs, which is about the same weight as a trailer boat of comparable size.

Under its beautiful two-toned painted external cover is an aluminum V8 supercharged engine with a 22-gallon fuel tank and a high-performance waterjet. It features a storage box, an under-seat icebox for keeping your drinks and sandwiches cool and an incredibly powerful stereo system for you to enjoy your favorite music while you ride the waves.

In addition, a massive 15-inch touchscreen LED panel in front of the rider controls the LSA V8 engine, provides navigation information and controls the stereo system. The Daytona GT can be customized with a custom-built trailer, carbon fiber inserts, a gold or silver 3D wrap, a shock absorber seat, an underwater camera, and even a diesel V8 engine to replace the gasoline powered V8, are some of the customization possibilities available to owners.

According to sources, earlier versions of the Strand Craft V8 Daytona GT jet ski started around $49,000. However, an official price has yet to be confirmed, that said we can safely assume that a basic model of the Daytona GT will start at around $50k and increase with custom add-ons.
