Solar Desalination Skylight

The Solar Desalination Skylight is a remarkable invention by Henry Glogau that promises to provide drinking water in coastal regions with an abundance of saline water. This skylight fills two basic requirements, safe drinking water and light to areas of the world that lacks both. The design uses free and abundant solar energy and seawater to create a diffused light as well as clean, potable drinking water. In addition, the residual brine created by the desalination process is reused as chemical energy to power the diffused light at nights.
