The Sterrato is designed to handle rally-type terrain, much like the recently released Porsche 911 Dakar edition. It has higher suspension, a more rugged body, and custom LED rally lamps. The updated images demonstrate features like roof racks and underbody shielding. Even though it hasn’t been verified, the Sterrato probably has all-wheel drive. Along with the black cladding on the front and rear wheel arches, the car has a roof scoop at the back to create room for the combustion engine’s air intake.

The high-riding Sterrato will be the last model in the V10 Huracan supercar range, which was released in 2014. It will be phased out in favor of a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) version in 2024. By 2024, Lamborghini hopes to have an entirely electric lineup.

This last Huracan version, according to the manufacturer, is a “super sports vehicle for demanding terrain” that drew from the off-roading expertise it learned while producing the Urus SUV. The Sterrato’s complete specifications will not be known until its official unveiling later this month, but the production model doesn’t seem to deviate significantly from the 2019 concept car, which had a 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 engine that produced 470kW.

The 2023 Sterrato culminates in a very successful year for Lamborghini with anticipated sales that surpasses all previous records and earnings. The new Sterrato has already been gaining interest in places like Australia even before its official release. Pricing for the new Sterrato is expected to somewhere around $267,000 per unit.
