Kanye West’s Unfinished Malibu Beach House is Now on the Market for $53 Million

Once owned by rapper Kanye West, this beach front luxury property at 24844 Malibu Road is now up for sale. Kanye purchased the home in 2021 with the aim of renovating it into a beach front getaway. However, plans abruptly changed and the half-gutted property is now back on the market.

Built in 2013, the property is an architectural tour de force and one of a few private homes in the United States designed by renowned Japanese architect Tadao Ando. Ando’s minimalist design with trademark “smooth concrete” is evident throughout the structure.

The foundation is anchored to the California coastline with 12 massive pylons driven 60 feet into the sand that support a structure constructed of 1,200 tons of concrete and 200 tons of steel reinforcements.

The home features up to 4,000 sq. ft. of interior space and 1,500 sq. ft of outdoor decks with stunning panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean from every room in the home. The property’s interior is currently gutted with all finishes removed and work will be required to either restore or reimagine the interior.

The property is located on the prestigious and quiet Malibu Road with easy access and close proximity to the finest dining, shopping and entertainment venues in Malibu.
