HW Electro Puzzle is a Tiny Solar-Powered Van Thats Making its Way to North America

Japan is well ahead of the rest of the world when it comes to automation. The nation is well-known for adopting extremely small, reasonably priced automobiles called “kei cars” for both personal and business transportation on its highly congested roadways. Although gas-powered kei vehicles have historically dominated the market, electric variants are starting to take the lead such as the recently released HW Electro solar-powered van.

The van, named Puzzle, is set to revolutinize the world of tiny EV vans. A representative for HW Electro stated at the automotive press event in New York, that “the Puzzle launch marks HW Electro’s dedication to addressing environmental challenges and creating innovative eco-friendly solutions to the commercial vehicle market.” He also went on to state that; “We are thrilled to present Puzzle to the public today and anticipate having it available in the US market by 2025.”

In contrast to the vans we’re used to in the United States, the Puzzle is surprisingly compact at only 11.2 feet ( 3.4 meters) in length. With seating for only two passengers inside and lots of space for cargo in the rear, it’s a great choice for small, product-based firms looking to lessen their environmental effect.

The Puzzle has an angular exterior design and a silver paint job that give it a futuristic appearance. Its ring-shaped headlights adds a touch of retro styling. However, the Puzzle most interesting feature is the solar roof, which uses the power of the suns rays to generate electricity to power and recharge the onboard batteries.

Very little is known about the Puzzle’s batteries, energy storage and conversion, and speed and range. Admittedly, the company’s limited debut has left these questions unanswered as well as probably the most important question, the price tag. We will just have to wait and see when it makes its debut in the North American market.
