Automobili Pininfarina announced on Wednesday that the hypercar will enter serial production at its atelier in the Piedmont region of Italy. It will feature an all-electric powertrain with four electric motors connected to a 12 kWh battery that produces up to1,900 hp and 1,696 ft-lbs of torque. That’s more than enough power to propel the Battista from 0 to 60 mph in under 1.8 seconds with a top speed of 217 mph. All of that is accomplished with a battery that provides the Battista with a 300 mile driving range on a single charge.

Labeled as the “world’s first pure-electric hyper GT”, production of the vehicle will be accomplished by a team of 10 craftspeople which will build each Battista individually with each car taking up to 1,250 hours to complete. Hand applied finishes and additional refining will require an additional 90 hours of work on each vehicle.
