Shanghai Astronomy Museum is an Otherworldly Architectural Wonder
Shanghai Astronomy Museum is not only the worlds largest astronomical museum but also boasts an architectural design that is simply out of this world resembling a celestial vortex with little to no right angles. The museum, which opened on July 17, 2021 in Shanghai, China, is a mind-boggling 420,000 square feet, making it the world’s largest museum. Designed by Ennead Architects in the United States, it includes an observatory, a planetarium, and a 78-foot-tall solar telescope.
